 Survivor Celebration 2008

 Bear to be Vogue

10th Annual Survivor Celebration

On 12 Dec, more than 200 children, family members and friends from TygerBear attended the opening show of “Winnie the Pooh” in the Chandelier Foyer of the Artscape Theatre. The friendly team from Hylton Ross assisted with 3 luxury coaches to transport our children, while the Artscape Family helped in decorating the Theatre Well in a “Pooh Bear” theme. We were in awe of the show & afterwards eagerly awaited the arrival of Santa, while our MC’s Francois Huysamen and lovely wife Tanya van Tonder (7de laan) enthralled with their antics. The children were treated to muffins, sweets, Appetizers, cupcakes and the animated “Winnie the Pooh” cake sponsored by Cakelicious. Our TygerBear Ambassadors and friends, Chester Williams, Michelle Gildenhuys, Wendi Abrahams & Mimi Baartman were also there to offer their well wishes to the children. Before each of the children received their individualized present, a surprise visitor joined us: Shaleen Surtie Richards, better known as Nenna and Fiela Koemoeti. Nenna sat amongst the children & in her own unique way encouraged them towards a brighter future. Our Survivor was a huge success & we celebrate each of the special people who made this possible!

The kids were treated to "Winne the Pooh"cupcakes and special treats.

Our Ambassadors, Chester and Maria Williams and the twins also joined in the fun, while Chester adressed the children with words of encrouagement.

Well know actress, Shaleen Surtie Richards, made a special appearance, to wish the children a wonderful season and year 2010. She spoke from her heart about education and the importance of each person being the best they can be!

Santa Clause brightened each child's day with a spcial present and a warm hug!
